Emma Thompson in the Arctic
Greenpeace Ad is a nice way of exploring the area...
Discussion can be had on a whole range of topics here...
I'm a Barbie Girl...
Not personally you understand...
Picked up via my Twitter feed the story of this GREENPEACE action last week which was aimed at MATTEL: a toy company who allegedly use pulp from rainforests to package their products. Activists from Greenpeace dressed as Ken scaled the building and unveiled a massive poster.
This is an example of 'direct action'...
Meanwhile, a Greenpeace protester dressed as Barbie in aerobics gear, blonde wig and leggings driving a pink vehicle headed for the building, but was stopped by police.
There could be some interesting enquiry questions...
Why is Barbie being arrested ?
Mattel have replied saying that they were doing what they could with respect to environmental protection.
"Playing responsibly has long been an important part of Mattel's business practices, as evidenced by our Corporate Responsibility activities during the past decade.

Over the past months, we have been in communication with Greenpeace on a variety of papersourcing issues. We are surprised and disappointed that they have taken this inflammatory approach ... We will continue to assess our paper sourcing and packaging improvements as we move forward.''
The area of Corporate Responsibility is a good one to explore, perhaps with reference to Marks and Spencers' Plan A
Tom's Greenpeace work...
Tom Morgan Jones is the genius illustrator behind the images that make up the visual impact of Mission:Explore the book and Mission:Explore London the iPhone app, as well as the spin off special Festival and National Geographic missions.
His artwork can also be seen on the blog, and on his personal website too...
Now Tom has had his artwork turned into a resource that can be downloaded from the GREENPEACE website.
One for all the family to play this Christmas-tide...
