David Farrier on 'desire lines'

Footprints: In Search of Future Fossils: Amazon.co.uk: Farrier ...David Farrier has written one of the books of the year so far in 'Footprints', which explores the idea of future fossils: the things we are leaving behind as a result of our present lives.

He's now written a piece on desire lines.

The piece has been published in Emergence Zine.

Desire lines, also known as 'elephant paths' are found when people deviate from the usual paths to meet their own needs.

Often this is to take the most direct route rather than that which was chosen by those who laid a path. I have blogged about them previously.
