Remembering Judith

I was terribly sad to hear a few days ago of the passing of Judith Roberts.

Many of you will have met Judith - whether in real life or online; or been supported by her in many ways. She was an early member of the Staffordshire Learning Network Forum, and also via the NING networks and on Twitter as well. She was always enthusiastic and passionate about geography, and always had time to support other colleagues. She had lived and worked in Suffolk for many years after studying at Durham, and was active in the Suffolk Geography Network as well. She was a 'virtual' colleague to many and also involved in assessing candidates for RGS-IBG teaching scholarships. She always supported the GA Quiz at Conference in particular and was on the winning team on the 'Only GeoConnect' quiz I ran some years back.

Here's Judith with other SLNers, second from the left at one of the SLN get togethers that were organised, on Holme Beach in Norfolk in July 2007 - out in the field and loving exploring new locations - we had a rather fine lunch that day I remember.
