It sounds like something with explosions and shouting Americans in boardrooms. But instead, here's Dr Iain Stewart, frowning on a mountain as he tells us why we're all going to hell in a recyclable handbasket. Yes, everybody's favourite emphatic Scottish geologist is back, this time with a series explaining everything you always wanted to know about climate change (but were afraid to ask). It's bracing stuff. While Stewart galumphs about the world in search of the facts behind ecological devastation, archive footage of ashen scientists in kipper ties reminds us environmental concerns are far from a 21st-century preoccupation. The result is accessible and chilling.
