GeoContext - goodbye to the little strip of scrap paper...

Thanks to geos for letting me know about the GeoContext tool...
It's a neat way of automating something that most geography teachers will remember well...

Cross Sections are still on most GCSE specifications, in the skills element.
The traditional technique uses a strip of paper and a lot of small pencil markings. It's a good way of passing an hour of a lesson... (that's a joke by the way)

There is still an element of vertical exaggeration which occurs with all cross sections unless you use a very long strip of paper !
Here's an example from Norfolk out along the A47.... shows that Norfolk isn't too flat....



Head across part of the Fens towards Ely though and you see some interesting 'heights'...
