Katla eruption

Been following some volcanic activity at Katla on Iceland thanks to the #Katla #ashtag on Twitter.
A few people have been posting a lot of useful links and resources.
Gisli Olaffson ( @gislio on Twitter) has been posting some very useful updates, such as this photo of the bridge at Mulakvisl, which was washed out by a jokulhlaup.

Yet another reminder of the power of Twitter to get the latest news promptly...

When on holiday we crossed this bridge 3 times just 24 hours before it was washed away. A day later and our holiday would have been ruined as we would have had to drive back to the airport the LONG way around Iceland!
