Britain from Above

A new website launched recently featuring images from the archive of Aerofilm. They were taken between 1919 and 1953, and show many familiar landmarks.

The website has received support from a range of sources.

I've just had a look at the site, and discovered a number of amazing images of the place where I grew up from the 1920s which show just a handful of buildings that I recognise, and many that must have been demolished since.
Now that the site has been around for a week or so, the access has improved a lot from the first few days when there were a lot of people visiting for the first time.
