Snowdonia Fieldtrip - Post 1 of 3

Playing catch-up here...
Another fieldtrip away a couple of weeks ago: 30 years after the first one that I was involved with. When looking back, there are perhaps thousands of students I've been involved with taking away from the classroom and to some (un)familiar landscapes.
We drove up in minibuses, which was a day in itself.

An overnight stay at the Swallow Falls followed a visit to Betws y Coed... We were overnighting at the YHA, and there was a lot of rain that fell overnight... This probably washed away a lot of the snow that had been lingering on the higher spots of land.
The following morning, after a full Welsh breakfast, it was down to Rhyd-y-Creuau Field Studies Council centre to meet our tutor Jemma and prepare for day of upland glaciation.

More to come...
