Practical Pedagogies 2018 - #5 - The middle evening

The middle evening of the Practical Pedagogies event is traditionally a time for the meal which the presenters are given as a thank-you for their efforts.
Last year, this was at a restaurant in the centre of Toulouse and we were treated to excellent food: a wonderfully grilled fish, and plenty of red wine.
This time round, the event was in a central square in Cologne, and a very different vibe, but once again there was plenty of interest.
Before the meal, we had had pre-drinks and decided to go to the Haxenhaus: recommended by a friend of mine Mark Jarvis who had been to the city recently for a trade fair. This was certainly a great place to start, and had images and flood levels from the Rhine Flooding of 1993 displayed. Then it was over to the main square and restaurant for some very tasty food, and plenty of beer....
Thanks to colleagues for their company and good humour.
