Royal Geographical Society Awards

The RGS-IBG Annual Awards are handed out at the AGM and Award evening in June.

Back in 2008, I was honoured to receive the Ordnance Survey Award for excellence in secondary geography teaching.
This year's recipients were revealed earlier today, and they are, as always, very deserving. There are two recipients of the OS Award as always:

Rob Chambers has been supporting teachers through various means, GeoBytes website, SLN, Facebook groups etc for many years

Jennifer Monk has been very active on social media, and is also one of the organisers of the splendid TMGeographyIcons, and also co-founding GeogChat.

There are also some other medals and awards of note, of personal interest.
I was reading Fiona Reynolds book yesterday as it happens, and she has also been into my school to do a talk.
