As part of our strategic partnership with the Geographical Association, Discover the World Education are now offering regular free geography CPD to teachers.The CPD will be led by Chris Stubbs, who has worked in education for 9 years as a subject leader, geography teacher and guide in Iceland. Prior to this, Chris has been a science leader in the Peruvian Amazon for the British Exploring Society, as well as an ecologist and project manager at a variety of organisations.
Following input from the Geographical Association and various university academics, Chris will be running free CPD workshops from September 2019, which can be tailored to your requirements and specification and are subject to availability.
Sessions will last approximately 1 – 3 hours with flexible timings, that can be built around your needs.
The CPD sessions will focus on: unleashing student potential through DME’s (Decision Making Exercises) critical thinking skills free high quality, multi-award-winning resources to assist in your classroom, and international fieldwork opportunities If you would like a speaker for an event/network meeting you are running simply complete the form on the website.
