He has designed costumes for Madonna, and also Luc Besson movies such as 'The Fifth Element'.In today's Observer there was a piece on his opinion on the recent trend for 'fast fashion' and the responsibility of the big fashion brands when it comes to waste with their new collections which are "not a question of thinking about what people need. It's thinking about being bigger. It's only a question of power and politics".
