This was one of the finest pieces of television for quite a while.
It was the subject of a session at the RGS Summer Conference in 2018, convened by Jo Norcup and Innes Keighren.
I actually started putting together a potential paper for the session but ran out of time - just dug it out on Dropbox.
I might have a go at finishing it off... it's about tourism and representations of place.
Started watching the series again yesterday, and already remembering some excellent moments.
Jo Norcup and Innes Keighren have edited a new book drawing together some pieces connected with the series and its geographies, and have some interesting people to add a foreword and other reflections.
This will be published by Uniform Books.
