OFSTED and School geography

The latest GA GeogPod with John Lyon features Iain Freeland of OFSTED.

It has been a while since we have had subject specific OFSTED reports, written by Leszek Iwaskow the previous Chief HMI for Geography and Outdoor Learning and who I had the pleasure to work with and co-present with at a number of events. This is well worth listening to....

Students should know where places are.

Also worth finding Iain Freeland's article in Primary Geography, which has been shared with colleagues as well.

He also mentions the importance of embedding GIS into the curriculum. They mention My Life Elsewhere and other tools such as The True Size.
