Regular readers of the blog will be familiar with the art works of Luke Jerram: giant inflated models of the Earth (Gaia) and the Moon which are placed in large spaces. Gaia was supposed to be in Ely Cathedral in April 2020 with an educational conference on sustainability involving our students.

It is now scheduled to be in the Cathedral in July 2021 I believe, although that may also be subject to change. This is ideally timed for the end of our school term.

This piece talks about how the artist is now turning his thoughts to memorials and remembrance for those who have lost their lives during the COVID-19 pandemic.
