Green countries - tourism and sustainability

A nice image via the Flight Free UK twitter feed.

Apart from the absurdity of having South Georgia and the British Antarctic Territory on the green list (it's 60 below at the moment near the South Pole, and South Georgia has no tourist accommodation...) these all involve long distance flights to some degree or other.

There was also further news linked to unsustainable tourism in this piece on Venice, with the return of large cruise ships to the lagoon, with UNESCO considering the World Heritage Listing of the city, as they are with Liverpool's historic waterfront because of recent development.
