The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.
This session sounds great, and is exploring a coastline which I know very well having lived close to it for over 30 years coincidentally. There are plenty of interesting locations for fieldwork in the area, and Colin teaches in a school about eight miles from where I live in Norfolk.
Are all the beaches and cliffs on the north-east Norfolk coastline rapidly changing? Are there elements of this coastline that have shown minimal change?
Using his own photographic record extending back 30 years, Colin will illustrate how change in commonly overlooked lengths of coastline are embedded within wider learning frameworks, to secure long-term learning throughout geographical learning journeys.

I also used the Norfolk Coast as the focus for the Distinctive Landscapes chapters of the OCR A and B GCSE Geography books published by Hodder, which are now in their 2nd Editions, supported by BOOST Digital resources which I also helped to create.
