The power of everyday geography: a framework for making the ordinary extraordinary
Young people are living in an exciting world. To ignite their passion and curiosity, we need to focus on ourselves as teachers first, renewing in ourselves an awareness of the miraculous and magical nature of the world around us. Ultimately, we need to begin with everyday geography. In this session I will propose five signposts for recognising and facilitating the use of everyday geography in primary and post-primary classrooms.
