I have been fortunate to have been Danny speaking in a number of locations over the years, going back to when I worked for the GA, and Danny and colleagues were at the University of Sheffield.

If you had to pick seven children that were most typical of all children in the UK, that were most representative, how might you go about it?
Seven typical children might well not reveal much of the full range and implication of high inequalities. Does it really matter, or is it ok if we just pretend it matters to us and only pretend that we are going to do something about it? Should we level up, out, round, about or down?
This session will start back at the beginning with the first of these many questions and consider how any of this relates to other aspects of geography, such as climate change.
