GAConf22: Active geographical learning using Harkness discussions - #121 of many

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

Active geographical learning using Harkness discussions

Harkness discussions are structured, student-led seminars, facilitated and observed by the teacher.

They can increase student engagement and develop the skills of evaluation and synopticity, as well as embodying the principles of civil discourse and deliberative democracy.

Attendees will learn how to prepare for such discussions and take part as discussants and facilitators on the theme of ‘everyday geographies’.
