Through the eruption, Ben was visiting as regularly as he could, and mapping the positions of the lava flows as they built up and changed direction.
The people’s volcano
The 2021 eruption at Geldingadalir in Iceland turned out to become a true volcano of the people, being very accessible yet also reasonably safe. This lecture gives insights into the unique interplay of physical and human geography during the most active phase last year – and beyond.
