GAConf22: The rise of the 'Common curriculum' - #117 of many

The latest in a series of posts showcasing sessions which are included in the programme for the GA Conference in April 2022.

Many teachers will work in a school which is part of a multi-academy trust (MAT).  These often have a ‘common curriculum’

This session will address the everyday challenges and opportunities of teaching a geography curriculum designed for a number of schools in a trust.
We will discuss how we might attempt to maintain the identity of individual departments and explore how a pre-designed curriculum allows teachers to invest more time in finding the hidden stories that bring that curriculum alive.
