Firelight flickering on the ceiling of the world

This is a lovely collection of images of the aurora borealis in literature, largely drawn from the internet Archive site.

Reminds me of one of my favourite locations for a picture of the Northern Lights, on the front of the Jan Garbarek album 'All those Born with Wings'.
