George Mallory and Sandy Irvine were last seen heading towards the summit of Mount Everest on the 8th of June 2024. The Centenary of this event has spawned a lot of books and other events. I saw Mick Conefrey's book 'Fallen' in Topping Books Ely today - it is a biography of Mallory.
