Practical Pedagogies #6: AI and Richard Allaway

The first session I went to at Practical Pedagogies Day 2 was presented by Richard Allaway.

You can see his resources on this link. They really are rather good.

He talked about how no school can afford to ignore AI and hope it will go away.

He has worked to train teachers and students and also create some policy documents which he shared on a link.

My friend Richard Allaway works at the International School of Geneva on one of their campuses.
They came to the view that to not use AI would disadvantage their students in the future as they will need to be able to use the technology. Richard is leading their efforts here.
He recommended the approach they have taken, and the choice of tools.

All the resources that Richard shared are available on the link here. They include thoughts on training for teachers and students (including details on what Richard has done) and other people too....

This was so much more than a session saying... "look you can create a lesson plan"... and included some lovely ideas for training such as the recipe idea to show generative AI in action.

I recommend that you take a look at this....
