The GTE Conference is an event I have attended periodically since 2009: the first time I attended, which was when I joined the Geographical Association. GTE = Geography Teacher Educators.
Until then I'd been unaware of it, and it was rare to see a teacher there.
In the last few years, there have been a few more teachers attending, sometimes in their role as leads for a large MAT or organisation.
I've attended events in Southport, Hull, Derbyshire, Oxford and York amongst other locations. I've always had an input - I find it hard to go to a conference as a delegate only. Last year's event was excellent, and had the advantage of being held in York, which meant I could stay with my parents.
This year's event will take place at St. Mary's University in Twickenham, South London over the weekend of the 24th-26th of January. I shall be there for the first two days and will be sharing some of the new ideas that I collect here on LivingGeography.
