The Financial Times had a range of interesting articles this weekend, but one in particular was relevant for Geography.

If this ocean current shuts down, the implications for the UK are that if it does, we will become a lot colder rather than warmer, and we are not set up for the implications of that (or additional heat to be fair).

Related to this is a diagram which was produced by the BBC to show the days that exceed 1.5 degrees C above average each year since 1940.
It looks like a classic Joy Division album cover... but is a little more gloomy....
