Another term-time Wednesday means it's time for another Worldly Wednesday.
One of the first tasks on my list was to publish the latest LivingGeography newsletter on Substack.
This didn't happen as early as usual as I had a deadline to finish some writing for a Teacher Guide to accompany a forthcoming Student Book. This took me a little longer than planned, but I got there in the end.
Subscribe and it will drop into your email each Wednesday with a whole host of other geographical information. Subscriber numbers are rising but quite slowly.
Also please fill in the form here with your views on the five issues so far this year. This will help me to make the next five issues even more exciting.
The main business of the day was writing.
First up was some writing for a project for a publisher.
I received a chapter back from another project which will need some significant editing but that's OK as I can see that it will result in a better outcome, and I can reuse the sections which I won't now need for something else in the future.
I had a Zoom call about another project linked to curriculum development. There's going to be a real need for some creative and critical curriculum thinking in the next year or so, and I've been doing a lot of thinking in this area. Thanks to my colleague who shall (currently) remain nameless for her hard work which really helped us with the project.
And finally it was onto some Oak reviewing. The GA is working with Oak to develop a KS3 curriculum with fully resourced lessons to accompany the previous Primary project. Expect to see lots of new resources later in the year....
Also did some blogging, reading, planning for tomorrow and even put the bins out....
