Another term-time Wednesday means it's time for another Worldly Wednesday.
I've spent the day in London today again, down at the Royal Geographical Society. It was for the launch of the refreshed Discovering the Arctic website and associated resources. It has been comprehensively updated with new materials, including StoryMaps, videos and plenty more. I managed to avoid two lots of heavy rainfall which was good. The site is now searchable by Key Stage as well as keywords.
Although designed for KS3-5, there are some sections which would certainly be accessible for Primary aged students (KS2 particularly).
Activities like Where is Santa would be suitable for KS2 for sure.
Check out the resources.
There's also a useful section which explores how the Arctic is defined. Where does it begin/end? The website demands and deserves further investigation - there is a lot of new material here to engage with.
Substack Newsletter #20 was also published today. Good to reach another small milestone. Lovely to see that everyone who received the link opened it and read it today.
Please subscribe to receive future copies as they are published.
