I'm just finalising a short presentation for an event at UCL next week. I'm looking forward to it. Not the least because it will be my first act having finished for another year of teaching. The theme is Creativity as part of teacher agency and the teaching standards.
Margaret Roberts is involved, so of course I have to be there.
However, creativity is a "time-wasting inconvenience" for ChatGPT.
A letter from Nick Cave, read by Stephen Fry sets out his views on the process, and the need for some sort of creative struggle if we are to feel a sense of accomplishment.
Warning: features the f-word once if you are easily offended.
