Sustainability - do we need a new definition?

Stephen Scoffham has written a thought-provoking blog post for the GA's Blog on the way that we think about sustainability and how it may have changed.

The classic definition was defined as part of the Brundtland Report, led by Gro Harlem Brundtland who was previously the Prime Minister of Norway.

In 1987, the United Nations Brundtland Commission defined sustainability as “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
