Thoughtful Thursdays #5: The come down

Welcome to the 5th of my Thoughtful Thursdays.

What am I thinking about today?

I've had a number of ZOOM calls over the last few days relating to several projects. We are getting close to finishing quite a few of them, which means I shall have some more time.

However, I started the day thinking about what I had seen the previous evening at the Royal Albert Hall. It's 20 years since I first saw Sigur Rós play live and that was one of the best gigs, although the early days as a 4 piece was a lot more chaotic and noisy.... The performance of Ára Bátur will stay with me for a long time. There are lots of videos online, none of which quite capture the power of the crescendos.

I was also thinking about how much the King's Cross area of London had changed.

My son and I did a little exploration of the area around King's Cross. We started in the London Canal Museum which I'd never visited before and had some nice exhibits including the connection between the building and the early ice cream trade. I enjoyed showing my son some of the developments that had taken place over the last five years or more around King's Place, Coal Drops Yard etc... and having a day off when I wasn't at my laptop (although I never mind that either).
