Welcome to another Worldly Wednesday.
It's been a busy week since the previous issue including a rather wonderful concert at the Royal Albert Hall, an RGS Council meeting and the first parents' evening of the year.
This resulted in a bumper Substack Newsletter, which was actually #40 and which was published this morning.
Today was a day for a bit of a pause for breath and some preparations for a big meeting next week which I'm chairing.
A Zoom to start the day re. some forthcoming things. Trying to get some things sorted for into 2026 to keep me busy.
Then over to Castle Rising near King's Lynn which I used to pass through regularly on the way to work, but had not been for several years.
I also received another 'Postcard for Antarctica'. This is a series of regular updates from scientists of BAS who are preparing for the field season in Antarctica.
Here's a recent video, showing how BAS is preparing for heading south with the RSS Sir David Attenborough, which is an interesting insight into the importance of logistics. This would be a good additional careers option for some students.
The day finished with the Celebrity Traitors.
