This week has seen the arrival of Storm Claudia - named by the Spanish meteorological agency.
There have been a great many flood warnings. York has seen the Ouse rise in level, and the town centre of Monmouth is underwater along with some houses and businesses.
Friday saw an annoying day for many teachers as a result of Storm Claudia.
Cue wet breaks and lunch hours, indoor PE lessons, steamy classrooms and all to coincide with non-uniform day etc. for Children in Need.
There was also some troublesome commuting, particularly in the morning.

It's time to start collecting stories for flood lessons perhaps, or updating lesson plans to include a mention of the most recent named storm.

This is the time to start collecting the hydrographs from nearby rivers to show their response to the rain that has fallen over the next 24 hours as levels drop back to normal...
