Welcome to the 8th of my Thoughtful Thursdays - half term done and now on the lead in to Christmas.
What was I thinking about today?
I continued to think about the report of Becky Francis' Curriculum and Assessment Review and the DFE's response to it.
Various organisations including subject associations, trade unions, news media, awarding bodies and others have been sharing their own thoughts, including plenty from across the geography subject community.
As usual, there was a mix of home and consultancy jobs to work through, plus responding to emails connected with a few external projects and some writing. I also got an email saying I'd won £100 on the Premium Bonds which was nice.
In mid-afternoon I headed for Norwich and braved the endless roadworks which are positioned on every entry into the city. After an early meal, it was over to Norwich School to help with an RGS Eastern region event.
Sara White did a great job of interviewing Hilary Bradt who co-founded the Bradt Travel Guides publications. Lots of interesting stories and anecdotes shared from over 50 years travelling the world.
