An extra £18 million for coastal defences in the East

My local news magazine programme Look East has regularly featured stories from Hemsby in Norfolk, and Thorpeness in Suffolk for the last few months, with houses being demolished in the Marrams in Hemsby (which as the name suggests is built on sand dunes),

The BBC News today had a story that the government is giving some money to help these two places and a few others in a specific support package. The headline suggests the government wants more coastal erosion though....

The communities will take part in Coastal Adaptation Pilots.
