Not very cheerful reading

Last week, the Government quietly launched a new report, which makes for sombre reading, They didn't really make a big deal out of its arrival, perhaps wanting to avoid the sort of general unease this would provide to those who read it, and have a sense of the interconnected nature of the world: a skill that you develop if you study geography.

The title sets the scene for the document's contents:


The report sets out the risks and the level of risks for a number of changes related to the three elements in the title. These are all challenged by the climate breakdown and other forces.

e.g. here's the assessment on the UK's food security as a result of issues in other parts of the world - bearing in mind 40% of our food is currently imported (a focus of our Food for Thought topic).
