How busy was it where you went over the summer?
This Independent article has identified the most tourist-dense areas in the EU.
There are some places on there that are not too surprising, such as the Greek islands and Balearic islands.
I was a little surprised to see Salzburg on there, but I haven't ever visited at the height of summer.
