He's a filmamker who has made a series of films on the VIMEO platform using the name StudioCanoe.

Studio Canoe
I first came across his work when he stayed at Union Glacier camp in Antarctica. He was travelling with another expedition that got stranded in Union Glacier due to bad weather which meant the flight from Chile couldn't pick him up.
He focussed on the people who worked at the Camp and created a wonderful film, with a touch of Wes Anderson about it.
I've used it every year since I first came across it when it was published.
