Spent a couple of hours today at Huntington School in York, which is the proud recipient of a Geographical Association's Secondary Geography Quality Mark.Delivered a session on GIS from the perspective of:
- why is GIS being used ?
- how can real-life data from student enquiries be used ?
- progression in GIS from maps to more detailed software ?
- to add other subject material other than numbers
- using Google Earth as a GIS
