Had a great time last Thursday in Worcester at the University... A small audience, but a good venue.
My presentation seems to have been corrupted when uploading to Slideshare, so have had another go, and here it is on Slideboom instead...

As before when using this presentation, particular thanks to Mark Ollis for sharing his students' Cockermouth stories, and to Tom Coulthard of the University of Hull for the 'DVD extras' at the end...
After the lecture it was into Worcester for some food and a few local ales... and a not so local malt...
Thanks to Dr Alan Dixon for the invitation, and to his colleagues for the hospitality in the evening. One of the things we discussed was an article on Globalisation in Geography journal. When I checked back at the hotel, it turns out that it's in the latest issue. Check out David Storey's article, which explores the idea that the Premier league is becoming increasingly globalised, and that a lot of the players are channelled through a narrow range of teams and agents... a useful article on the globalisation of sport...
Was also good to see that the first pub we went to was run by a former geography student at the University...
Cue a discussion on the geography of brewing...
