I wrote an article for 'Primary Geography' last year. It has been a while coming, and slightly edited down from the original but has now been published in the Spring 2018.The issue also features an excellent article by Helen Clarke and Sharon Witt on their gnome ideas, which were a personal highlight from last year's GA Conference.
One of the aspects of the article which is most interesting is the debate over whether the app is good because it encourages young people to spend time outdoors, or whether it provides a barrier to them appreciating where they are, because their focus is on the virtual character they are trying to 'capture'...
