Regular readers will know that this blog has a strong focus on curriculum ideas, thinking and resources. It was started when I got my job with the Geographical Association as Secondary Curriculum Leader, and spent the next three years travelling the UK and Europe and working to develop the curriculum in new areas, and promote the ideas of 'curriculum making'.The Summer 2019 issue of the Chartered College of Teaching's journal IMPACT has just been published. Many of the articles are available to read online.
David Leat has an article which explores the value of adding the local into the curriculum.
Grace Healy has also contributed again, with a piece exploring the importance of subject scholarship for developing teachers who are both new to the job, as well as more experienced colleagues. It draws on work by Clare Brooks, David Lambert and others.
