Being of the age I am, I associate the books of James Herriot with a TV series starring Christopher Timothy, Peter Davison, Robert Hardy and Carol Drinkwater. The books follow a vet in the Yorkshire Dales as he makes his way in his career with some eccentric characters and was shown in the late 70s, with a later run in the 80s.
A new map has now been launched which shows the locations where the new version of the series, first broadcast last month was filmed. It's interesting to see how the series represents Yorkshire, and the 1930s when the original books were based.
