For fans of the Noun Project (plenty of geographers there), check out the free vector icon sets shared by Drawkit.
They have several sets which are relevant to geographers, and although there isn't the sheer volume of the Noun Project website. A constantly updated library of high quality, beautiful vector icons, in four styles. Free to use on personal and commercial projects, and royalty free. They need to be downloaded as packs, which is a bit more of a faff than opening an account with Noun Project. The quality is a little variable as well.
