European IB Geographers are well served by Richard Allaway and Matt Podbury's websites and efforts at networking. During the last lockdown they ran a series of chats and teachmeet style sessions where teachers were given support and able to chat, in a number of timezones around the world.
This coming May, they are offering a useful morning session for all IB Geographers in Switzerland and neighbouring countries.

"As the meeting will be online it gives us the opportunity to increase the number of people who can attend. The meeting is open to any DP Geography teacher in Switzerland or neighbouring countries.Matt Podbury and I will host the meeting.
The plan is to start the meeting with some networking and general discussions.
Then we have a keynote from Alan Parkinson on geographical possibilities.
This will be followed by a session from Dr Des McDougall all about VR Glaciers and Glaciated Landscapes.
We will finish the meeting with an informal TeachMeet like session where people share a 4 or 5 minute 'thing' that would benefit DP Geography teachers."
