This week, one of the big stories has been the Ever Given: a huge container ship which became stuck in the Suez Canal diagonally across the canal, triggering a traffic jam with over 300 huge ships stuck in it, and which will take several more days yet to fully clear and return to normal.
A piece in 'The Guardian' by Rose George who also wrote an excellent book on the importance of logistics and shipping. I got it down off the shelves earlier to take a quick reread through the relevant section when she travels through the Suez Canal.
The ship is now on the move... which will bring the memes to an end.
Ever Given Everywhere is a fun tool to show the ship to scale in any location you want - here it is next to Ely Cathedral. Thank to Anthony Bennett for the original lead to this little mapping tool.
