Palin and the places he misses

A nice piece in the Financial Times by Michael Palin - this was also published in the newspaper's weekend edition.

This explores his favourite places during his travels, and also a few useful quotes on the idea of staying local, as most of us have been during the last year and a half almost.

Travelling is not just about ticking boxes and moving on ... it is, at its best, an exercise in observation, in opening eyes and ears and taking in what is special about where you are at any one time.
