These last few weeks have seen a remarkable chain of weather events which have shocked many, but are entirely predictable as a consequence of the climate emergency we face.
This GRIST piece explores the true cost of shipping all the stuff we own across the ocean - much of which is pointless, and doesn't need to exist - but because it is often made of plastic it will outlast us all.
Will be interesting to see some of the data from the surveys that are mentioned as it emerges. It's another reminder of the need for a paradigm shift in our lifestyles if we are to delay some of the worst effects of the climate emergency...
