One of my summer listens is the latest album by the band Frost*: a progressive rock band.
It's called 'Day and Age. There's a track called 'Island Life'. It has a suitably dystopian theme and lyrics.
One of my summer reads is Alastair Bonnett's 'The Age of Islands'.
It has a series of short vignettes of island life in locations around the world.
One of the examples that stood out for me was Ocean Reef in Panama.
This is a gated community - the access is via a private road out to a pair of islands: a future where the rich can try to escape the realities of a precarious world, although sea level rise makes this strategy less effective than it otherwise might be,
